2025 Volunteer of the Year

Forever Grateful is proud to share that its founder, Jayden Cummins, has been named the 2025 South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) Volunteer of the Year.

This prestigious award recognises volunteers who go above and beyond to support patients, carers, families, and staff - while also using innovative approaches to improve care and create meaningful system change. Jayden was honoured for his compassionate work, his ability to connect through storytelling, and his tireless advocacy in the organ donation space.

As a heart transplant recipient, Jayden brings lived experience to every conversation. Through school talks, hospital visits, and community projects, he uses his second chance at life to inspire others and champion the importance of having the conversation about organ donation.

He continues to be a powerful voice for patients and families, and a role model for volunteers across the health district.
