Community Support - City of Parramatta

We are very excited to announce our latest community partner. We recently received ClubGRANTS funding from Club Parramatta (CHRG.Syd), with the support of City of Parramatta, to bring our Conversations That Matter program to five high schools across the Parramatta region.

There’s something genuinely humbling about being in a room surrounded by good people doing good things. The presentation brought together community organisations working across a wonderful range of causes, each finding their own way to make life a little better for the people around them. We were so grateful to be among them and to see just how much care, energy, and generosity exists within the local community.

Since then, we’ve started making things!! Over the past week, the first components of our Conversation Starter Packs have begun going into production. Cards, conversation dice, stickers, bags, and all the little pieces we’ve spent months designing, testing, and refining are now becoming real. Each participating student will have the opportunity to take one home and use it with their family, creating a simple and comfortable way to begin a conversation about organ donation.

That’s the whole idea behind Conversations That Matter. The Parramatta funding will allow us to work with five local high schools, helping young people begin conversations that can continue well beyond the classroom and into their homes and families.

With our recently announced Hornsby program (and more announcements coming ), those conversations are starting to spread. A huge thank you to Club Parramatta for backing Forever Grateful through ClubGRANTS, and to the City of Parramatta for supporting the program and helping make these local conversations possible.
